Objectives: - Describe the role of mathematical models in health economic analyses. - Describe how health economic analyses may be included in HIV and STI studies at each stage, including study planning, data collection and analysis. - Define the Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio. - Define and differentiate between a DALY (disability adjusted life year) and QALY (quality adjusted life year). - Define the role of and interpret sensitivity analyses from a health economic analysis.
