Join us as we explore the dynamics of intimate partner violence (IPV) and explore how IPV must be addressed.
This session is led by the Dakotas AIDS Education and Training Center at the Community HealthCare Association of the Dakotas.
Objectives:
Become familiar with the IPV movement and the philosophies and controversies surrounding batterer intervention programs.
Explore the theories on why people behave violently toward their intimate partners and what can be done to prevent it.
Explore our role as citizens and how IPV must be addressed on a community level for successful prevention and intervention.
