Youth living with HIV (YLWH) experience significant challenges in their engagement and retention in care. While most YLWH are cared for at adult sites, clinical outcomes are poorer for YLWH at adult sites compared to those cared for at pediatric sites. In this talk, the speaker will summarize the current state of HIV/AIDS among YLWH in the U.S. and review some best practices for linking, engaging and retaining youth in HIV care.
