Oregon AETC clinical faculty are available to meet with prescribers virtually or in their place of practice to provide brief, one-on-one education & support related to HIV care and prevention. Also referred to as “public health detailing,” our one-on-one sessions are designed to foster peer-to-peer learning through the sharing of clinical tools, discussion of the most up to date evidence, and a review of local epidemiologic data. Some common areas of interest explored by participants include:
- Routine sexual history taking/serving gender diverse patient populations
- STI screening/treatment guideline changes
- Evidence for extragenital STI screening
- Staging syphilis
- PrEP prescribing, management, & clinical tools
- PrEP/PEP prescribing in pharmacy settings
- PEP prescribing/transitioning to PrEP
- HIV treatment in primary care/when to refer to ID
