One-on-One Education and Support for Oregon Prescribers

Oregon AETC clinical faculty are available to meet with prescribers virtually or in their place of practice to provide brief, one-on-one education & support related to HIV care and prevention.  Also referred to as “public health detailing,” our one-on-one sessions are designed to foster peer-to-peer learning through the sharing of clinical tools, discussion of the most up to date evidence, and a review of local epidemiologic data.  Some common areas of interest explored by participants include:

  • Routine sexual history taking/serving gender diverse patient populations
  • STI screening/treatment guideline changes
  • Evidence for extragenital STI screening
  • Staging syphilis
  • PrEP prescribing, management, & clinical tools
  • PrEP/PEP prescribing in pharmacy settings
  • PEP prescribing/transitioning to PrEP
  • HIV treatment in primary care/when to refer to ID
