Dr. Strick discussed how to support individuals living with HIV as they transition from incarceration back to the community. The key components of a successful jail/prison release plan were be discussed. Then once released, Dr. Strick discussed ways to improve ongoing medical engagement of a justice-involved population.
By the end of the presentation participants were able to:
1. Be familiar with basic definitions used in the correctional system.
2. Identify components of a successful jail/prison release plan for individuals living with HIV.
3. Understand ways to help maintain medical engagement of a justice-involved population.
